Types of endorphins:
There are four types of endorphins: α, β, γ and δ. Among them, β endorphin is rich in pituitary. Enenkephalins are two special pentapeptide compounds in endogenous opioids: leucine and methionine enkephalin, which contain active groups similar to morphine.
In the in vitro synaptic opioid binding test, the activities of enkephalin, α-endorphin and γ-endorphin are equivalent to morphine, while the activity of β -endorphin is 5 ~ 10 times that of morphine.
