Hainan Health Vocational College was established in May 2020. It is a public higher vocational college approved by Hainan Provincial People's Government and put on record by the Ministry of Education. It is also the only public health vocational college in Hainan Province.
The school is located in Haikou, China (Hainan) Free Trade Port, a scenic provincial capital city and a trade port construction center. It has two campuses, Xiuhua and Yehai, covering an area of139,900 square meters (209.85 mu).
The school has 5782 full-time students and 338 faculty members, including 228 full-time teachers. Establish a two-level management system of colleges and departments, and establish a system of "one hospital, three departments and eight centers", 12 functional departments, 2 scientific research departments, 8 teaching units and 6 teaching auxiliary units;
There are many experimental training centers for basic nursing, midwifery, pharmacy and rehabilitation, and there are more than 100 medical basic and clinical laboratories. It has two popular science bases, the Life Science Museum and the Chinese Medicine Exhibition Room, and is the only base in Hainan for the national examination of doctors of integrated traditional Chinese and western medicine.
At the same time, the school actively opened more than 60 off-campus training bases, covering more than 85% of the top three hospitals and 100% of the secondary hospitals in the province.
The school has established the school-running goal of "first-class in China with Hainan characteristics", the school-running orientation of "specialization, characteristics and internationalization" and the school-running concept of "cooperation between doctors and education" and "integration of production and education". The school and Shanghai Health Medical College have carried out a three-step cooperation of "resource sharing, teaching synchronization and standard homogenization" with high starting point and high standard depth, and planned the development blueprint from a high starting point.
