The Gates Foundation does not allow third parties to raise funds for or on behalf of the Gates Foundation.
The foundation only accepts donations without any restrictions. That is, donations must not indicate any specific purpose or contain certain conditions and incidental events.
Donations received by the Fund will only be regarded as general funds of the Fund. The foundation does not promise to donate within a certain period of time, nor does it track the whereabouts of donated funds.
The foundation only accepts personal checks, cash and remittances. Credit card donations are not accepted. Securities, real estate, personal assets or intellectual property rights are not accepted. (Exceptions may be allowed. The amount of securities donated by donors is huge and highly liquid, and they are traded in the open market, which does not exceed 65,438+0% of the company's equity. )
The foundation does not accept telephone or online donations.
The foundation only accepts donations in US dollars.
No donation foundation will be publicly recognized, but for those who donate more than $5,000, their names will be recorded in the 900-PF tax form according to the law.
The Foundation reserves the right to refuse to accept donations, change the terms of donations and make exceptions for specific donors.
The foundation will not give donors the right to participate in the decision-making of the foundation, nor will it give donors the right to contact with the leaders or members of the foundation. In the United States, the amount of donations may need to be taxed, but because the foundation is a private foundation, not a public charity, the tax deduction method of foundation donations is different from that of public charities. Donors may need to consult a tax consultant about tax deduction before donating.
If the donation amount is greater than 2% of the total assets of the foundation, it may trigger special tax provisions for the foundation and donors. Therefore, in this case, the donation needs to be approved by the director of the foundation.
