How to prevent cerebral infarction in daily life?

In the prevention of cerebral infarction, we mainly have three kinds of prevention, primary prevention, secondary prevention and tertiary prevention.

1, primary prevention, mainly for patients who have never had a stroke, that is, to prevent the occurrence of cerebral infarction, which is primary prevention. This is mainly to conduct a general survey of patients with risk factors of cerebrovascular diseases, or to intervene or reasonably treat their risk factors. The risk factors of such cerebrovascular diseases are often found in the screening process, such as hypertension, hyperlipidemia, diabetes, hyperhomocysteinemia, hyperuricemia, heart disease, smoking and drinking. These are all risk factors for cerebral infarction.

Therefore, we should first intervene in these risk factors, such as adjusting blood pressure and blood sugar, and advising patients to quit smoking and drinking, which is aimed at patients with risk factors. If there is no healthy person with these risk factors to prevent cerebrovascular diseases, we should advise him to exercise more and pay attention to less oil, less salt and less sugar in his diet.

2. Secondary prevention refers to the prevention of recurrence of cerebral infarction in patients who have already had cerebral infarction or TIA or retinal ischemia. We often carry out some drug interventions for such patients.
