Three-minute speech on college students' mental health

Live in the sun

Teachers and students:

Hello everyone!

The theme of my speech today is living in the sun. Speaking of mental health, I think everyone knows it more or less, but many people are not very clear about this concept. So I want to ask all the teachers and students here, what is mental health? Some people may say that mental health is mental health. This answer can't be wrong, but it's not very comprehensive. Here, I borrow the definition of mental health issued by the World Health Organization: The so-called mental health refers to the development of one's mental state to the best physical, intellectual and emotional state within the scope of not contradicting the mental health of others.

Mental health is the coordination of body, intelligence and emotion, which can adapt to the environment. In other words, when you go to a strange place, you can quickly adapt to the new environment and new life, and have strong self-adjustment ability. Let me give you an example. A female college student is going to study abroad soon, which is a very happy thing for many people. However, as the date of going abroad approached, she suffered from persistent anxiety, insomnia and other emotional abnormalities. Why? Through the counselor's understanding, it turned out that this female classmate was afraid that she could not survive in a strange environment in a foreign country, which led to psychological imbalance. Through this example, we can see the lack of physical and emotional mediation ability of this girl.

People's emotions are related to whether people's needs can be met, but people's needs are always unsatisfied. This requires people to be good at eliminating psychological barriers and be able to control and stabilize their emotions. It is necessary to cultivate a loving and positive attitude towards life and establish lofty ideals and beliefs. Only in this way can we be cheerful, far-sighted and happy, and we can win without arrogance and lose with grace. People with serious individualism are narrow-minded, selfish, and moody. I hope that students can test themselves according to the above four standards, and ask themselves to treat themselves with a happy mood, full emotions, self-esteem, self-respect, sincerity, humility, unity and mutual assistance. In the face of difficulties, we should improve our patience, frustration, firm belief and perseverance, improve our psychological quality, and face the challenges of life with high fighting spirit.

Create a beautiful campus environment. School is students' second home, and students unconsciously accept the education and influence of the school. Therefore, an elegant, clean, civilized and comfortable campus environment can give students a good psychological influence of "calming down". Pavilion rockeries, celebrity statues, calligraphy and painting galleries, famous sayings and aphorisms, school spirit and various publicity windows on campus will all give students beautiful enjoyment and rational thinking. The biological park is full of vitality. The campus is full of flowers and green grass. Students read books in winding corridors and pavilions. These natural and humanistic landscapes touch students' senses all the time, which makes them influenced by beauty and morality, educated in pleasure and consciously form a positive attitude.

To be a mentally healthy person, be confident. A rose is a rose and a lotus is a lotus. Just look and don't compare. Blind comparison is the easiest way to shake our mentality and change our original intention, and the result of comparison makes people feel inferior or proud, in short, mediocre. Once a person loses self-confidence, he will break away from the normal life track. Being a mentally healthy person will appreciate and take the initiative. Let's be a psychologically healthy college student.
