1, jaundice
The white eyeball turns yellow, mostly caused by jaundice. When yellow eyeball is found, we should consider whether there is anemia and hepatobiliary area. At the same time, pregnancy poisoning, neonatal hemolysis and other blood-damaged diseases will also be accompanied by jaundice, hepatitis, cirrhosis, liver cancer, gallstones, cholecystitis, pancreatitis and so on. Jaundice will appear, bilirubin in the blood will increase, conjunctiva and sclera will be dyed yellow, and the yellow around the eyes will be darker than that around the cornea.
2. Drug-induced yellowing
Because of the need of treatment, if you take adipine, the yellow adipine will make the skin and eyes yellow, the deepest around the cornea and the shallowest around the white eyes. Contrary to jaundice, the whites of eyes will disappear within 7- 10 days after drug withdrawal.
3. Conjunctival macular
Conjunctival macula, also known as facial fissure, is characterized by yellowish triangular or irregular micro-convex patches at the conjunctival fissure of both eyes; Conjunctival plaque is caused by conjunctival degeneration and lipomatosis, which mostly occurs in normal people after middle age.
This disease is a benign disease, which has no intention of eye and visual function and needs no treatment, but once it appears, it will not disappear.
4. The whites of the eyes turn yellow unevenly
This is mainly seen in middle-aged and elderly people. White eyes look slightly yellow in bright natural light, but it is not easy to see them in light. The yellowing is uneven, and it is obvious when you open your eyes.
This is because with the increase of age, the lipid on the sclera gradually increases. The older you get, the more obvious the yellow is. But this is a physiological degenerative change, not a pathological manifestation, so don't worry too much.
Step 5: Skills
Patients suffering from orange disease due to excessive consumption of oranges, carrots, pumpkins, etc. There will be yellow skin, but white eyes won't, so we need to pay attention to it. As long as we don't overeat these foods, the disease will subside on its own.
In addition, the whites of some patients with hyperlipidemia will be slightly yellow due to fat precipitation, which requires special attention.
6. Other abnormal symptoms of white eyes
1, white and blue eyes are medically called blue sclera. This sign is mostly caused by chronic iron deficiency. Iron is a very important substance in the collagen tissue on the sclera surface. Iron deficiency can make the sclera thin, and when the dark blue choroid under the sclera can't cover it, the whites of the eyes will appear blue. Long-term iron deficiency will inevitably lead to iron deficiency anemia. All patients with moderate and severe anemia have blue and white eyes.
2. Red eyes are usually congestion caused by bacteria, virus infection and inflammation. If accompanied by secretions, foreign body sensation, itching, eye pain and other symptoms, you should go to the hospital for eye treatment. The problem may be more complicated. In addition, patients with hypertension will have symptoms of congestion and redness before cerebral hemorrhage, epilepsy, severe insomnia and cardiac insufficiency. If unilateral white eyes are red, we should pay attention to whether we are infected with sexually transmitted diseases.
3. White blood film is an early warning signal of arteriosclerosis, especially cerebral arteriosclerosis.
4. The green spots on the whites of most eyes are early signs of intestinal obstruction.
5. The appearance of red spots on the whites of eyes is the result of the dilation of capillary ends. People with diabetes usually have such symptoms.
6. Triangular, round or half-moon blue, gray or black spots on the whites of the eyes are common symptoms of intestinal ascariasis.
