Liaoyang in history

Liaoyang has a long history. According to archaeological evidence, there were human activities and development in Liaoyang as early as six or seven thousand years ago. At the end of the Warring States Period in the third century BC, an administrative system with the meaning of a national administrative region began to appear. Until the seventeenth century, it was the political, economic and cultural center, transportation hub and military center of northeast China.

Xia Shang Zhou times

Before the Spring and Autumn Period, Liaoyang was the residence of Donghu people and Yin Shang immigrants. According to Shangshu, Liaoyang belonged to Yingzhou area in Xia and Shang Dynasties, which was only a natural division and had no significance as a national administrative region. Liaoyang in the Zhou Dynasty was the territory of the Korean vassal state of Ji. From 248 to 279 BC (from 28 to 33 years in Yan Zhaowang), the legacy of the Yan State sent Qin Kai to attack East Lake and Korea, which saved the world, and "seized two thousand miles of land". Qin and Han dynasties

In 222 AD (the twenty-fifth year of the first emperor), Qin destroyed Yan, unified the establishment of local banks, abolished feudalism, and established a county. Xiangping County still belongs to Liaodong County. The Han Dynasty inherited the Qin system, and the Liaodong county government in the Western Han Dynasty was still located in Xiangping County. Wei, Jin, southern and northern dynasties

In 238 AD (the second year of Wei Jingchu), Sima Yi destroyed the Gongsun family, and Liaodong County was incorporated into the territory of Wei, with Pingzhou as its jurisdiction and Dongyi as a captain of Xiangping. Later, Pingzhou was merged into Youzhou. In 274 AD (10th year of Emperor Wu of Jin Dynasty, early Qin Dynasty), Pingzhou was restored to administer Xiangping. Jurisdiction over Liaodong, Xuantu and Changli counties. Among them, Liaodong County governs eight counties, with Xiangping as the first county. Soon Sima Kun became the king of Liaodong, and Liaodong county was once called Liaodong country, and it still rules Xiangping. Since then, several local governments, such as Yan Qian, Qianqin and Houyan, all belong to Liaodong County and administer Xiangping. At the end of the Eastern Jin Dynasty, Koguryo tribe rose. In 404 AD (the third year of Yuan Xing in the Eastern Jin Dynasty), Koguryo occupied Liaodong and changed Xiangping City to Liaodong City. Xiangping City was first called by the State of Yan, and it was abandoned.

Sonia Sui

Liaodong in Sui Dynasty was still occupied by Koguryo, and the Sui Dynasty did not tolerate separatist forces. It sent troops to Liaodong three times and failed. In 645 AD (19th year of Tang Zhenguan), Emperor Taizong Li Shimin led an army to conquer Koguryo, Liaodong City and establish Liaozhou. In the second year, Liaozhou was stopped and Anton was appointed as lord protector. In 676 AD (the first year of Yifeng), Anton Khufu moved to Liaodong City.

Liao Jin

At the beginning of the tenth century, the Khitan nationality rose and established Liao State. In 9 18 AD (the third year of the reign of Liao Shenshu), Liao Taizu captured Liaodong City and set up Liaoyang Prefecture. In the second year, the old city was restored and Dongping County was changed. In 928 (the third year of Tianxian), Liaoyang was changed to Nanjing, and the capital of Dongdan was moved to Liaoyang. Dongdan State, as the capital of Liao State and one of the five capitals, has existed in Liaoyang for more than 50 years. In AD 1 1 16, the emerging Nuzhen nationality established the Jin State, which conquered Liaoyang Prefecture in Tokyo, Liaoning Province, and took Liaoyang as Tokyo and remained the national capital. Later, Tokyo Road Liaoyang House was changed to Tokyo Road Liaoyang House, and both the road and the house ruled the old town of Liaoyang. Liaoyang has jurisdiction over four counties and one town: Liaoyang County, Ye He County, Yifeng County, Shicheng County and Changyi Town (under Ye He).

Yuan Ming Qing dynasty

After the establishment of the Yuan Dynasty, Liaoyang and other places were established in A.D. 1287 (24 years from Yuan Shizu to the Yuan Dynasty). The province is directly under the seven roads and one government, and the provincial offices and the railway administration bureau are all in Liaoyang City; Liaoyang Road leads to Liaoyang, Gaizhou and Yizhou counties. Republic of China (19 12- 1949)
