Health risk assessment is one of the important means of effective health service planning and health management, which will play a great role in understanding the health status of the population and rationally allocating resources. Therefore, as the core technology of health management, it is very important to establish an assessment method of health risk factors suitable for China population. Health risk assessment has been widely carried out in western countries, especially in the fields of health insurance and disease prevention. In China, the concept of health management and the application of health risk assessment have only been a few years, but some academic groups and research institutions have developed assessment models based on China population health data. This not only provides appropriate technology for health management, but also provides public health risk assessment platform, health risk factor database and effective tools for health administrative departments and national decision-making departments.
Health risk assessment can not improve the diagnosis and treatment effect, nor can it investigate the prevalence rate.
