Exposure notification uses the more advanced Bluetooth low-power BLE protocol for close contact location, and will communicate with other iPhone devices nearby. IPhone will automatically record the information of people around you and exchange location information. Important information is stored locally and not uploaded to the cloud.
Compared with their own health code SIM and GPS positioning, Bluetooth mutual positioning for exposure notification can be accurate to centimeters, and the data exists locally, which is safer and more accurate. However, the shortcomings are also obvious. This feature needs to be turned on by a nearby iPhone. The more people want to open it, the more accurate it is.
At first, the system provided an API for local public health departments to develop special App calls, but it was not widely supported worldwide. Now, after the second stage, the exposure notification has realized this function at the operating system level, and there is no need to install additional apps.
How to use exposure notification
1, direct system setting
After the iPhone is upgraded to the official version of iOS 13.7, domestic users can directly turn on the exposure notification function, which means that this function can be used in China. Go to System Settings-Exposure Notice-Open Exposure Notice and find Chinese mainland. After entering, you will be prompted that this area has been added and the public health management institution has been authorized to send you an exposure notice.
After the function is turned on, the exposure notification status will be displayed as enabled, and the activity area will be CAICT (managed by China Information and Communication Research Institute), indicating that users can officially use the function.
2. Travel card settings through communication
If the direct setting through the system is invalid, you can also set it through the communication travel card App. The communication itinerary is jointly used by China Information and Communication Research Institute, China Telecom, China Mobile and China Unicom, and the information of all the cities I have visited in the previous 14 days can be inquired through the location of the base station where the user's mobile phone is located.
Install the latest version of the communication travel card App, and you can log in directly with your mobile phone number without registering or entering any identity information. On the basis of providing travel inquiry, the new communication travel card adds a close contact reminder function based on Bluetooth low power consumption (BLE) protocol.
