China is a developing country with a population of more than 65.438+0.3 billion, and the task of maintaining and ensuring people's health is very arduous. All along, the total amount of medical services in China ranks first in the world and continues to rise. As an important force in the medical and health front, more than 3.5 million nursing professionals in China stick to their purpose and struggle hard, and practice the professional spirit of "respecting life, saving lives, being willing to contribute and loving without borders" with practical actions, whether in daily medical and nursing work or at the critical moment when people's lives and health are seriously threatened, such as major natural disasters and disease epidemics. The development of nursing specialty has always provided services for people's health with its professional knowledge and technology. In the process of people's illness and death, it bears the responsibility of saving lives, protecting lives, preventing diseases and alleviating pain. It should be noted that the current and future period is a crucial period for the development of medical and health undertakings and the construction of a healthy China. The implementation of healthy China strategy puts forward new tasks and requirements for nursing development. From the perspective of development, it is necessary to change from "treating diseases as the center" to "taking health as the center"; Play a professional role in disease prevention, health promotion, diagnosis and treatment, rehabilitation and care in the whole process of birth, illness and death. From the perspective of professional practice, we should closely link the connotation and extension of nursing service with people's health needs, adapt to the promotion of graded diagnosis and treatment and the development of integrated medical service system, and expand nursing professional services from clinical treatment of diseases to chronic disease management, rehabilitation care, long-term care and hospice care, so as to better provide all-round and life-cycle professional services for people's health.

Nursing workers are an important force to promote the construction of a healthy China. With the ringing of the bell of 20 18, the majority of nursing workers should establish the concept of "great health", strive for progress, promote the more full and balanced development of nursing, and make new and greater contributions to improving the health and well-being of the people!
