The frontier management detachment belongs to the local public security. The frontier management detachment belongs to the frontier forces of the public security armed police and is one of the three active armed police forces directly led by the Ministry of Public Security. The public security frontier forces are compiled by the people's police, and are equipped with provincial, autonomous region and municipality directly under the Central Government public security frontier corps, frontier and coastal areas (cities, prefectures and leagues) public security frontier detachment, county (cities and banners) public security frontier brigade, frontier and township police stations, frontier public security checkpoints leading to border management areas in the mainland, coastal marine police detachments and brigades, and open port frontier checkpoints.
The recruitment conditions of the border management detachment are:
1, age 18 and above 40; Junior high school education or above;
2. Have the nationality of China people, support the leadership of China * * * production party, and abide by national laws and regulations;
3, good health, good facial features, no stuttering, color blindness, no obvious tattoos and physical defects.

The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs are responsible for entry and exit administration according to their respective responsibilities.
The embassies and consulates of People's Republic of China (PRC) and China abroad or other foreign institutions entrusted by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (hereinafter referred to as foreign visa agencies) are responsible for issuing entry visas for foreigners abroad. Entry-exit frontier inspection organs are responsible for entry-exit frontier inspection. The public security organs of the local people's governments at or above the county level and their entry-exit administrative agencies are responsible for the management of foreigners' stay and residence.
The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs may, within the scope of their respective functions and duties, entrust the exit and entry administration agencies of public security organs of local people's governments at or above the county level and the foreign affairs departments of local people's governments at or above the county level to accept applications for entry and residence of foreigners.
The Ministry of Public Security and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs should strengthen communication and cooperation in the management of entry-exit affairs, closely cooperate with relevant departments of the State Council, exercise their functions and powers and assume responsibilities according to their respective responsibilities.
