The Police Officers College of the Chinese People's Armed Police Force is located in Chengdu. It is a key military academy under the "2 1 10 Project" directly under People's Republic of China (PRC) and China Armed Police Headquarters. It is the only military institution established in Sichuan.
The history of the Armed Police Officers Academy can be traced back to the Military and Political University of the Southwest Military Region, which was established in February 1950. It has undergone nine changes, including North Sichuan Branch, Military and Political Cadre School of Southwest Military Region Public Security Force and Armed Police Training Brigade of Sichuan Public Security School.
