Development trend of health undertakings

As follows:

At present, the development trend of medical and health undertakings in the world has changed from focusing on medical treatment to paying more attention to prevention and health care. At the turn of the century, when the goal of "health care for all by the year 2000" was gradually realized, WHO put forward the goal of 2 1 century for the Asia-Pacific region-a new vision of health.

The World Bank pointed out in the World Development Report 1993 that "most primary health care work should be undertaken by nurses and midwives, and this trend will gradually expand in the future". It can be seen that nurses are the main force of medical care.

Nurses have begun to go out of the hospital, face the society, pay attention to everyone's health, and work around physical, psychological and social health.

Provide health care services for key groups in the community, such as middle-aged and elderly health care, maternal and child health care, adolescent health care, chronic disease health care, occupational disease prevention and treatment, disease survey, psychological counseling, etc., and open family beds to meet the basic treatment and nursing needs of patients outside the hospital.

Nurses should also cooperate with doctors, community workers and social workers to carry out social health services. Nursing work is increasingly showing its unique role in medical care.

It can be seen that the function of nursing extends from simply caring for patients to a broader field of disease prevention and health maintenance, which is not only the challenge of the times, but also the requirement of the development of nursing specialty itself.
