1, constant water temperature:
(1) Constant water temperature is the key to the healthy growth of small fish. Whether it is the growth stage, the onset stage or the new fry stage, the water temperature always highlights its importance. For fry, the water temperature can be life-threatening.
For adult fish, the water temperature generally only needs to be controlled within a certain range, and the fish can grow healthily; For fry, even if the difference is 1℃-2℃, it may have a severe impact.
(2) In general, at the suitable water temperature for adult fish, slowly raising the temperature to 1℃-2℃ is most suitable for the growth of larval fish. Take our most common gold as an example: the suitable temperature for adult fish is 24℃-25℃, while the suitable temperature for fry is 26℃-27℃. At this temperature, the moustache feels warm, the activity frequency increases, the appetite becomes better, and the growth speed is accelerated.
The change of water temperature is one of the important factors leading to sudden death of fry. Especially when changing water for the aquarium, you must pay more attention. The fry are weak, and if the water temperature exceeds 2℃, they will get sick or die because they can't adapt.
2. Treatment of water quality:
Fish fry have higher requirements for water quality than adult fish. If the water quality is not up to standard, it may lead to the growth of other microorganisms and the fry will be attacked by germs.
Treating young fry is a very troublesome job, and if the dosage is not well grasped, it may be counterproductive. Therefore, the most important thing is to start from the source and put an end to water quality problems that may lead to infection.
How to feed fry with bait;
The fry will look for food within a few hours after birth, so you can choose the right amount of shrimp larvae to feed the fry. Shrimp seedlings have high nutritional value, are healthy and hygienic, and can help the young to grow rapidly. If there are no shrimps for the time being, only adult fish feed must be ground into powder before feeding.
The principle of feeding young fry is to feed less and eat more, and never feed too much at one time. Egg yolk is a very nutritious food for young fry, but if you are a novice fish farmer, it is best not to use egg yolk, because fry are very sensitive to the consumption of egg yolk, and it is difficult for novices to control the feeding amount. Once fed too much, it is easy to pollute the water quality.
Those egg yolks that are not filtered will decompose and deteriorate in the fish tank, which will destroy the water quality and lead to the death of fish.
When the fry are born for about a month, they should be released from the culture box and put into the fish tank to avoid the space in the culture box being too small and the fish struggling to get injured. Of course, if conditions permit, it is best to open a separate tank and raise a litter of seedlings together, or raise a litter of seedlings half a month apart. Because of the great individual differences, there will be cases of grabbing food or even killing small fish with big fish.
