Disciple asked: When do you pray for the guru?
Guru A: For example, when you meditate, if you are confused and confused about the guru, you should pray to the guru. The method is: meditate on the guru in the void, meditate on the guru's prayer, and say the prayer in your heart (preferably without affecting the surroundings): "The guru knows! Please have pity on me, a stupid disciple. I can't think clearly about you. Please have pity on me! Take care of me! Bless me if I think about you clearly, and the guru will know! " If you are single-minded and sincere, you can pray for the guru. If you read the guru's prayer in your mouth, but you are fascinated by it, thinking: What should I eat today? Say what? This is not a prayer for the guru.
If the practice of Buddhism goes smoothly and meditation increases, you should still pray to the guru: "The guru knows! Thanksgiving guru, merciful blessing! I practiced dharma steadily today, because of your merciful blessing. Please bless me as always, guru! " If so, whether you are meditating, healthy or sick, you should always pray for the guru wholeheartedly. According to the essence of the four karma, the guru's eyebrows (white characters), throats (scarlet letters) and hearts (blue characters) shine into his three doors respectively, and he is infatuated with Aquarius, secret infatuation, intellectual infatuation and sentence infatuation, so as to clear up the karma and habit obstacles of his three doors and realize the incarnation, body report, dharma body and self. It is better for beginners to think clearly one by one when they first ask for four tests. In the future, according to the revision stage, four kinds of enlightenment will be further taught. It is particularly emphasized here that as a second-class yogi, the master first learned from the outside world and meditated on the master in the opposite void. However, as far as practical opinions are concerned, "this is from the superior teacher, and there is no breakthrough in transformation." (Lama Rinpoche's Yoga for the Guru) The guru and self-mind are the same as before, and there is no difference between inside and outside. Therefore, practitioners should be diligent in practicing, sincerely pray for the guru, and gradually become interested in real opinions. This is very important!
As said in "Pu Xian Guru's Words and Teaching", "Anyone who repairs 100,000 gods might as well remember the guru's victory in an instant."
Jean Rilunba, a great achiever, said, "It's as stupid as sitting in a cave facing north and waiting for the sunrise without praying for the supreme guru."
No matter what school, countless teaching methods came into being and successfully came to dzogchen, but the core is the corresponding guru method. There is no practice that is not established and developed by the corresponding methods of the guru. At the same time, it includes three fundamental practices: guru, deity and emptiness, and one is everything.
There used to be many accomplished people who did not practice other special gods, but spent their whole lives specializing in the corresponding methods of the guru and got rid of them.
A guru is like a snowy mountain, and confidence is like the sun. Snow-capped mountains can only be melted into cool snow water by strong sunlight, which nourishes the walker's body and mind. This is a blessing. Without self-confidence, the sun will not shine on the snow-capped mountains, and there will be no nectar blessing like cool snow.
Master Lotus Peanut once made a metaphor. When we come to a bad road, we will ask Master Lotus to bless us to get rid of the violation. When the violation disappears and the road becomes smooth, we sing and leave. In this case, it will not be easy to get the blessing of Buddha and Bodhisattva in the future. Why? Because praying for the guru's three treasures every day should be uninterrupted. If we only remember the guru's three treasures in times of difficulty, even buddhas and bodhisattvas will become less blessed. It's not because Buddha and Bodhisattva are angry and don't bless us. That's not true. Buddhas and Bodhisattvas are like our mothers. If a child is in trouble, he can't see his mother. Mother won't be angry, but she can't know and solve the child's difficulties right away. In fact, praying to Buddha and Bodhisattva every day will increase our confidence. With confidence, the blessing of Buddha and Bodhisattva can be obtained quickly. Just like contacting your mother every day, your mother can always take good care of her children.
Of course, it is not easy for us to do nothing but miss the guru every day, but it is no problem to think about it once every morning, noon and evening.
Prayer should be for the blessing of the guru, so that we have the opportunity to do more good deeds and repay all beings today. Just now, a layman said: After studying Buddhism, she hopes that her children can also learn Buddhism, and so can her children's children. It doesn't matter whether she becomes a Buddha or not. This kind of initiation is very good, and I am blessed. At the same time, I hope everyone around me can learn Buddhism and be blessed. It is best to extend to all six sentient beings. It's hard to get rid of it. Prove Buddha's fruit quickly. It doesn't matter. If you can have such motivation, just like the motivation of Sakyamuni Buddha, you can get the incredible blessing of Buddha and Bodhisattva soon, and your merits are very great. We should use this motivation to pray for the guru twice every morning and evening. When we pray for the guru in the morning, our daily violations will disappear, and the good dharma will continue to grow and the whole day will be smooth. Pray for the guru at night, so that we can get the blessing of the guru quickly and complete our merits.
