The interesting origins of some place names.

1, Ganzhou: Because there is Zhangshui in the east, Gongshui in the west, and the city is between the two waters, the two waters are named "Gan", hence the name.

2. Jingdezhen: During the period of Jingdezhen in Song Zhenzong, the words "Jingdezhen year system" appeared on the imperial porcelain, so it was renamed as "Jingdezhen".

3. Hangzhou: It is said that Dayu arrived here when he was in charge of water control and landed by plane, so "air" is homophonic with "Hangzhou", so it is called "Hangzhou".

4. Wuhan is also called "Jiangcheng": Li Bai, a great poet in the Tang Dynasty, said in his poem "Drinking with Shi Langzhong and Listening to Xiao on the Yellow Crane Tower": "The Jade Emperor plays the Yellow Crane Tower, and plum blossoms fall in Jiangcheng in May." The so-called Jiangcheng refers to Wuchang, and later Wuhan was called Jiangcheng.

5. Mars Village (Zhejiang): At the beginning of the founding of New China, the "Spark Agricultural Production Cooperative" was established, which meant that a single spark could start a prairie fire, and entrusted the villagers with the hope that agricultural production could start a prairie fire and flourish. This is the prototype of the village name "Mars Village". By 1958, it was renamed as "Mars Brigade" during the People's Commune period, and the name "Mars" continued.
