The Seventh Past of Wuhu: Yijiangqiao Wonton

Under the old Yijiang Bridge in Wuhu, there used to be a small shop specializing in wonton, with no name or surname. But in the hearts of eight neighbors in four townships, it is surprisingly famous, especially by nearby children. I don't know when it started, but people began to call this nameless wonton restaurant: Yijiangqiao Wonton.

Yijiangqiao wonton started in Xinhua Bookstore, Laowuhu County, Henan Province (south bank of Qingyi River). It seems that in the mid-1970s, he moved from Henan to Hebei Province (the north bank of Qingyi River) and settled beside the high-rise observation tower in old Wuhu. The place to stay is an open space without shelter, supported by several Chinese fir trees and surrounded by several plastic sheets; Wide tables and benches are steaming open to welcome guests.

Yijiangqiao Wonton is a street cooperative group composed of several old people. A half-foot-square business license was hung on a thick bamboo roof beam in the middle of the shop, and others, such as hygiene license and health certificate, were gone.

The most lively season of Yijiangqiao wonton is the evening in winter. It's cold outside and steaming inside; The figure reflected by the white woven light is like a shadow play on the cloth; Pot, pot, pot, pot, customers are buzzing. Several old people in the shop, one selling potato chips, one standing on the stove and two sitting at the table making wonton; The person who packs wonton is responsible for washing dishes in turn, and the person who sells potato chips is responsible for carrying water. Everyone has hands and feet, and can handle it freely.

A plate of fresh meat is red and white, and a small square of wonton skin is piled thick. Small bamboo sticks scrape out fresh meat the size of broad beans, stick it on the skin of wonton, pinch it with your fingers, fold it down, and pile it up round and round, twelve in a pile, neatly stacked. Two cauldrons, one boiling water, one rolling ribs and bone; On the long table next to the stove, the coarse porcelain blue bowl is neatly packed, with soy sauce, fine salt, chopped green onion, lard, monosodium glutamate and then bone soup; Slip twelve wonton into a bowl with a spoon woven with iron wire, and sprinkle a little black pepper in front of the bowl.

A bowl of delicious wonton was placed in front of you, only to see that it was round and full, with soft and smooth skin and a little delicious fresh meat. Take a sip of soup with a spoon, and the aftertaste is spicy. In our eyes, this bowl of wonton is a work of art, we just want to see it, but we can't bear to eat it. If we want to eat, we will taste it while eating. Until the end, we will all drink soup and water.

In this way, the wonton of Yijiangqiao has been stewed for decades, and it is the same in spring, summer, autumn and winter.

In the heyday of Yijiangqiao wonton, wonton sold 14 1 bowl. Although it is not expensive, it is impossible to patronize it often. In order to eat wonton from Yijiangqiao frequently, Xiong Haizi racked their brains and tried their best. Besides asking parents for money, the stupidest way is to rummage around the house looking for money that might be hidden. The stupidest way is to deliberately break plastic pots, rubber shoes and other items that can be used at home, take them to the waste collection station for money, make up 14 cents, and immediately rush to Yijiangqiao to eat wonton. For me, eating wonton is also urgent, but the way is much milder. Asking for money is the most important thing, and another is being good at raising money for pouring swill at home. Although one point is divided into two points, many a mickle makes a mickle. If you haven't saved enough money and your inner desire to eat is hard to suppress, there is another trick, that is, pretending to be sick.

Dad came to ask me when he saw me cringing.

"What's the matter? What's wrong with your health? Is your head hot? "

"I feel bored all over, as if I have a fever." I replied feebly.

"Hey, come, go to Yijiangqiao to eat a bowl of wonton." Dad seemed to read my mind and handed me 14 cents.

After eating wonton, I skipped home. My father gave me a look and said nothing, but I plunged guiltily into the room.

When I shared this process with my friends, everyone laughed at me for being out. I didn't even know this trick? It works every time by pretending to be sick and tricking wonton into eating. If you really have a headache, just eat a bowl of wonton. It's strange. I'll feel refreshed immediately and everything will be fine.

Joe's wonton, eaten, has become a part of our life, and it has been integrated into our youth. As we all know, Yijiangqiao wonton can cure diseases, and it is a kind of craving disease, which has the flavor of a whole treatment system.

Later, Yijiangqiao wonton moved to a small frontispiece, still operating without a license. In the end, the shopkeepers were too old to do anything, and the younger generation in the family also disdained this small shop, so no one inherited it. Finally, in the early 1990s, it quietly closed the door.
