Resident electronic health card is a national unified standard medical service card designed by the National Health and Wellness Committee for urban and rural residents in China. It records the identity information of residents, health file information, hospital medical information and so on. It is mainly used for identification of residents and storage of basic health information in medical and health service activities, and it is the link to realize information exchange between residents and medical institutions, and between medical institutions and other relevant departments.
