Li Suzhi's personal story

Since Li Suzhi entered Tibet in 1976, more than 3000 cases have been operated on/kloc-0, and more than 600 cases have been rescued from critically ill patients and major operations. He is called "plateau knife". Since 2000, he personally performed the first open-heart operation with beating heart at high altitude, and treated more than 600 patients with congenital heart disease and rheumatic heart disease for free, with a success rate of 98.6%. Since 2003, there have been 8 cases of renal transplantation, and the success rate of operation has reached 100%. Based on his rich clinical experience, he actively carried out scientific research and kept writing academic papers. Published 230 valuable academic papers, won 30 scientific and technological achievement awards, and developed 34 new technologies 17, including 32 world medical miracles17, which was the first in China, filled 34 gaps in plateau medicine, and won 20 national and military scientific and technological progress awards. 15 drugs, such as Gaoyuankang Capsule, Huachong Capsule, Gaohong Granule, Jiuer Jieguling, etc. It has obvious clinical effect on treating altitude sickness. Comrade Li Suzhi is concerned about the grassroots officers and soldiers in Tibet, national unity and social stability, and the sufferings of farmers and herdsmen. He has traveled all over Tibet's border defense companies and posts, with a journey of more than one million kilometers, made more than 2 10000 visits by soldiers and civilians, issued more than 2000 copies of "free medical examination certificates" 10000 copies, and established "health records"10000 copies for plateau officers and soldiers and resident monks and nuns. By 2007, the incidence of acute altitude sickness in Tibet dropped from 50%-60% in the 1980s to 2%-3%, and the cure rate reached 1 0,000%. For 10 years in a row, none of the officers and men in Tibet died of acute altitude sickness. Since Comrade Li Suzhi became the president, the number of hospital medical equipment has increased from less than 6 million yuan to more than 654.38 billion yuan, with nearly 500 new medical equipment, tens of millions of yuan spent on equipment and medicines every year, and tens of thousands of square meters of new houses have been built in hospitals. In the purchase of equipment, medicine, housing and other issues, he did not deal with, did not intervene, did not let go, and was upright and spotless.

Military and civil situation under scalpel

From 65438 to 0978, Li Suzhi was just transferred to the General Hospital of Tibet Military Region. His first patient was Zhuo Ma, a Tibetan girl of 18 years old who suffered from congenital heart disease. Because Zhuo Ma was seriously ill, the rescue was invalid and he passed away forever. Zhuo Ma's departure deeply shocked Li Suzhi. In the next census, what surprised him even more was that in the nearly 20 thousand census, 60 people suffered from congenital heart disease. Zhuo Ma's beautiful and expectant eyes flashed in his mind again. He made up his mind that no matter how long it takes or how many years, he must sharpen his sword, overcome the problem of congenital heart disease at high altitude and eliminate the "first killer" on this plateau. Li Suzhi decided to accumulate the experience of plateau congenital heart disease surgery from animals. But at that time, the conditions were difficult, there were no laboratories, no animals for experiments, no instruments and equipment, and no experience. But all this did not make Li Suzhi retreat. Soon, he applied for an old warehouse as a laboratory, and raised money from his poor salary to buy necessary equipment and equipment. When there were no animals to do experiments, he and his comrades went outside to catch wild dogs. In the experiment, Li Suzhi was often bitten all over by wild dogs, and went to Qiu Lai in the spring. This experiment has been done for 20 years. After repeated failures and repeated experiments, he accumulated a wealth of first-hand information. After as many as 160 failures, in 2000, it was 1 10. In the following four or five years, he treated more than 500 patients with congenital heart disease, and the success rate of surgery reached 98%.

After more than 9000 operations and reading more than 400 medical books, Li Suzhi's "knife" became more and more famous, and countless people were saved from death by him. He was praised by the masses as a "knife on the plateau", a "living Buddha" who saved lives, and a good "doorway" for sticking people in need to his heart. He is not proud of the people's praise. He still insists on doing surgery three times a week, quietly exploring the frontiers of medicine, and continuing to work hard to do practical things for the people. In September of 200 1 year, the first radical operation of tetralogy of Fallot in plateau area was successful; In August, 2002, double valve replacement, single ventricular correction and transposition of great arteries were successfully performed in plateau area. On February 1 2004, the first living kidney transplantation in Tibet was successful, which marked a new step in human organ transplantation in cold and anoxic environment. From June 5, 2005 to1October 29, 2005, the first piggyback liver transplantation in Tibet was successfully implemented. During the operation, he adopted exquisite surgical techniques and did not lose allogeneic blood cells during the operation. Experts spoke highly of this groundbreaking and complex technology, which is of great significance not only to Tibet, the whole country, but also to the world.

People's health is always in their hearts.

In view of the backward situation of lack of medical equipment and talents in many places in Tibet, in July 2000, Li Suzhi decided to form a counterpart support pair with Dangxiong County People's Hospital, squeeze out 300,000 funds from the hospital's limited family resources, donate medical equipment and medicines free of charge, sign a series of assistance agreements with Dangxiong County Hospital, such as personnel training and technical support, and send experts with rich clinical experience to be stationed in turn for guidance all the year round. In order to continuously enhance the local self-hematopoietic function, he sends experts and business backbones to undertake the teaching and internship guidance tasks of Lhasa Health School, Tibet University Medical College and other units every year, and has trained more than 3,000 local medical staff. Most of these people have become the business backbone of county and township hospitals (health centers). At the beginning of 2005, after consulting with a class of party member, Li Suzhi signed a proposal with the Medical College of Tibet University, set up a special teaching team, selected comrades with bachelor degree or above, good ideological quality and good professional skills to undertake teaching work, and set up small classrooms in various departments of the hospital, equipped with advanced multimedia and collecting teaching materials, which provided a rich practical platform for students of Tibet University. Redi, vice chairman of the National People's Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC), once lamented: Li Suzhi and the General Hospital have made indelible contributions to health in Tibet!

Qinghai-Tibet Railway is an important project for the country to implement the western development. Workers work at an average altitude of more than 4000 meters, and medical security is a very difficult problem. Li Suzhi took the initiative to contact the headquarters of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, requesting to undertake the medical security task of the Tanggula-Lhasa section of Qinghai-Tibet Railway, and successively invested 1 10,000 yuan, more than 800,000 yuan of medicines and more than 400,000 yuan of infrastructure construction. He set up 1 secondary medical stations in Naqu and Dangxiong respectively, and sent 8 batches of 152 medical logistics personnel to undertake the security task. At the same time, taking these two medical stations as the center, we will make voluntary rounds to further areas. From 2004 to 2006, these two medical stations treated more than 20 patients on average every day.

On the way to see a doctor, Li Suzhi often meets farmers and herdsmen who dare not go to the hospital for treatment because they have no money, which often makes him feel sad: plateau military doctors work on the plateau on behalf of the party, and their mission is to relieve people in Xizang's illness. Li Suzhi and the party committee of the hospital decided to issue free medical certificates to those in need. As long as they have this certificate, they will have a green light all the way to see a doctor. The General Hospital issued more than 7,500 free medical certificates to the people in Niangniang Township, children in SOS International Children's Village in Lhasa, monks and nuns in Sera Temple and remote farmers and herdsmen, which facilitated the people to seek medical treatment. People in remote areas who come to the hospital to see a doctor and have financial difficulties are exempted from medical expenses. In case of special difficulties, Li Suzhi not only exempted all expenses, but also mobilized medical staff to donate travel expenses and living expenses for them. After overcoming congenital heart disease, nearly 500 cases of heart surgery were successfully performed for people of all ethnic groups for free, with a free amount of more than 20 million yuan.

Regarding free medical care, Li Suzhi calculated: "Free medical care alone will cost us millions of dollars every year. But this is the glorious tradition of the people's army. Thousands of dollars can't buy Tibetan and Chinese feelings and military feelings. "

Go out, Medog

Happy new year, welcome the new year in good health. Early in the morning, Lotus Square in Medog County was filled with a happy and peaceful atmosphere. The slogan "Warmly welcome the mobile hospital of the General Hospital of Tibet Military Region to Medog clinic" is printed on the electronic display screen of the square. Nearly a thousand people from all ethnic groups, with children and old people, surrounded Li Suzhi and his "portable hospital".

However, due to the fact that the Pailong natural barrier section of the Sichuan-Tibet Highway is still under maintenance, the Zhamo Highway has not been fully connected, and dangerous situations such as mudslides, avalanches and landslides have occurred from time to time. Limited by the geographical environment, so far no large mobile hospitals have come here to visit doctors.

Since its establishment in 2006, the General Hospital of Tibet Military Region has made 1 15 trips during the long vacation, and the only place it has never been to is Medog. On the day of family reunion, "General Menba" Li Suzhi went out again with his wife, daughter and son-in-law, and 45 mobile hospital medical staff gave up the opportunity to reunite with their families and actively joined the long journey of home visits.

It's hard to go, it's hard to go to heaven. Along the way, the mobile hospital led by Li Suzhi overcame many difficulties and arrived safely in Medog County on the morning of the 7th 1.

Love warms the "island" and transports ink. In the face of Luo Qiong, a woman in Bangxin Township who was suffering from placental abruption, severe anemia and dying, Li Suzhi personally performed the operation and learned that the O-type blood needed for the operation was in short supply. Guo, his lover, matched the patient's blood type and took the lead in donating 300 ml of blood. Subsequently, more than 30 medical staff, army officers and soldiers and public security police volunteered to donate blood. After the operation, the patient got better. During the rounds, from generals to soldiers, from experts to nurses, everyone served the masses carefully, and the masses dedicated the white Hada to the "patron saint of life" of this group of soldiers and civilians in the snowy area.
