Because for their parents, besides having a warm heart for their hometown, another place is Beijing, because the Monument to the People's Heroes and Chairman Mao are there. First of all, I do their ideological work. After all, they have never been far away, for fear of accidents in unfamiliar places. I said don't be afraid of anything with me here. Come with me.
After they agreed, I started booking tickets. I booked a week's travel time first, and went to Beijing at the first stop to show my parents the feeling of taking the high-speed train. My mother can't take the bus for a long time, and the high-speed rail is a better choice. It only takes five hours to go to Beijing, and it's a return trip by plane. My sister said that she just wanted to see the sea, so I thought Beidaihe was near Beijing, and then I went to the seaside and flew back to Xi 'an from Tianjin. In this way, I booked the travel route, booked the round-trip ticket, and helped my parents pack their travel luggage. The principle is that the less the better.
It's August, so short sleeves are the main clothes for traveling. Let them prepare three or four sets of clothes, as well as chargers, charging treasures, cameras, ID cards, bank cards, wallets, sun umbrellas, sun hats, water cups and daily necessities including their own towels (the towels in the hotel are too dirty). I packed everything, and then I was ready to go.
When I took the high-speed train from Xi 'an, my parents also saw high-speed railway station for the first time. I felt that China has changed so much now, thinking that my home is so close to Xi 'an but I have never been to the North Station. The station in my impression is just like the old railway station in Xi 'an. My father stared out of the window all the way, feeling that the speed of the high-speed rail was so powerful.
It's already six o'clock in Beijing. When we got off the bus, we called the hotel booked in advance and asked them to arrange someone to pick us up. I feel that my parents are quite nervous. They said they suddenly felt uncomfortable being far away from home, so I tried my best to do their ideological work. I was going to eat the special snacks of old Beijing, and then I took them to eat noodles near the hotel. Because my parents have always stressed the feeling of not having home, I specially took them to eat noodles with knives and asked the master to put more pepper and vinegar on my father.
The next day, we went to Tiananmen Square. The journey was very tiring, so we didn't let our parents get up too early and took them by subway. I went to see Chairman Mao first according to my parents' wishes, but it was too hot that day. We waited in line for two hours in the scorching sun to get to Chairman Mao Memorial Hall, which also realized my parents' wish to pay tribute to Chairman Mao. In the afternoon, I went to another hotel and played around the hotel.
The next day, I went to the Forbidden City. Although it rained that day, I finished watching the Forbidden City in the rain, and then transferred to the bus to go to the Summer Palace. On the third day, we went to Tsinghua Peking University and the Bird's Nest Water Cube to show our parents the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games. On the fourth day, early in the morning, we went to Beidaihe by train. It's about three hours' journey, which is quite close. The hotel owner who arranged in advance came to pick us up. Accommodation there is very cheap, the seaside is full of small hotels, and the night is less than 100 yuan.
Upon arrival, as soon as we put down our luggage, we couldn't wait to go to the seaside and eat all kinds of seafood barbecues. My parents also saw big lobsters and all kinds of strange marine life that I had never seen before, and we also bought some handicrafts made of shells. On the fifth day, I went to the pigeon nest to watch the sunrise, play with the sea, took many photos, and went to Tiger Hill in the afternoon. On the sixth day, I went to Qinhuangdao and climbed the Great Wall. My father is very happy because he especially wants to experience the feeling of climbing the Great Wall, but my mother and my sister are waiting for me and my father at the bottom, and my feet are sore.
On the morning of the seventh day, I went to Tianjin by train from Beidaihe, tasted Tianjin Goubuli, went to Italian style street and saw the Ferris wheel. Oh, yes, I took my parents to see a 3D movie "The End of Pompeii". My dad insisted on not saying that I can't watch movies here. I said that 3D movies are very beautiful and shocking. Anyway, it is rare to take them to see them. Later, my parents really thought the effect was great and kept asking me to take them to see it more often. After that, I took a trip to sightseeing bus and made a tour in Tianjin. On the eighth day, I returned to Xi 'an as promised.
This is also the first time for my parents to fly. In fact, as a daughter, there is only one simple purpose, that is, I hope they can enjoy life and relax after working hard for half their lives. This trip with my parents is of special significance to me. This must be my proudest thing. What is more important than honoring your parents?
