How do blue crabs survive in the soil?

You can live with water in the gill cavity, because the blue crab is very drought-tolerant. After a healthy blue crab leaves the water, it can survive for several days as long as there is little water in the gill cavity to keep the gill filaments moist.

The blue crab likes to inhabit and live in the intersection of rivers and seas, the inner bay where seawater and fresh water are buffered and exchanged, and the mudflats and mud-covered land in the intertidal zone.

Blue crabs are crabs that can swim, crawl and burrow. Usually live in caves during the day and go out for food at night.

The blue crab is mainly carnivorous, and likes to eat small miscellaneous shellfish, small miscellaneous snails, small miscellaneous fish, small miscellaneous shrimps and small miscellaneous crabs.
