Weishan Town is located in the west of Ningxiang, with Zuta Township in the east, Xiangzikou Town in the south, Anhua County in the west and Huangcai Town in the north, 92 kilometers away from the county seat. It covers an area of 42.8 square kilometers and has a population of *** 1 1327. The territory is a small mountain basin landform, forming a landscape surrounded by mountains. The mountains are shrouded in mist all the year round, so there is a saying that "Qian Shan Wanshan faces Weishan, and people can't see the mountains in Weishan".

Weishan, also known as Dawei Mountain, the birthplace of Weishan, "Fiona Fang 140 Li", is the remaining vein of Xuefeng Mountain and the highest peak of Wazizhai, with an altitude of 1070 meters. Among the mountains 800 meters above sea level, there is a basin for several miles. At the end of the Ming Dynasty, a juren, Tao Rubi, wrote "A Tale of Youwei Mountain":

Miyin Temple in Weishan Town (the birthplace of Yang Zong) is a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit, covering an area of 38.64 mu. It was built by Zen master Lingyun in the first year of Yuanhe in Tang Xianzong (806). In the middle of Xuanzong (847-859), Pei Xiu, the former prime minister, was exiled to Hunan and served as the secretariat of Tanzhou. Because of his love for Buddhism, he volunteered to become a disciple of Lingmian and sent his son to Weishan to become a monk. He asked the emperor to officially name the temple Mudra Zen Temple and donate 65,438+0,000 mu of paddy fields to the temple.

There are 9 buildings 19 with architectural features of Tang and Song Dynasties, such as Shanmen, Wanfo Hall, Ye Jing, Tibetan Scripture Pavilion, Zutang, Wuguantang, Xuanfo Hall, Military Forces Division Room and Monk Room, with a building area of 8 107 square meters. The temple is large in scale, with the mountain gate, Hanshan Hall, Wanfo Hall and Pilu Hall on the central axis. The wall of the Ten Thousand Buddha Hall is inlaid with 128 12 golden Buddha statues, which are resplendent and magnificent. At the peak of incense, as many as 1500 monks lived in temples. Up to now, there are still two thousand-year-old ginkgo trees, which were planted by the ancestors of Linghu Xian. The trees are nearly 30 meters high and 7 meters long around the trunk. The tablet "The Pavilion of Scriptures" was written by Pei Xiu, the prime minister of the Tang Dynasty. In April 2002, the former honorary president of the Chinese Buddhist Association went to Puchu to write two plaques for Miyin Temple, namely "Mutuo Temple" and "Ten Thousand Buddhas Hall". In May 2002, Master Yicheng, the president of the Chinese Buddhist Association and a disciple of Luyangzong, visited Miyin Temple. Miyin Temple is full of tourists. Every year, people from Japan and other places come to Miyin Temple to find their roots and ask their ancestors. Miyin Temple is an important base to carry forward Buddhist culture and dig deep into Hui Ji's "Hui Yang Zong" doctrine. The mountain gate is connected with clouds: Fa Yu comes, and the ethnic wind vibrates the mountain.

Peixiu Tomb, located at the mountainside of Qingxi Village in Weishan Township, is also a provincial-level cultural relics protection unit. It is about 3.5 kilometers away from Weishan Town.

Pei Xiu was born in Jiyuan, Mengzhou (now Henan) in the Tang Dynasty. He used to be the censor, assistant minister of the Ministry of War, and an observer in Hunan. He died in the middle of the Tang Dynasty at the age of 74, and his wife Chen was buried near Duanshan Mountain, known as Lady Chen Tower in history. The ancient trees at the end of the mountain are towering, surrounded by Dengfeng Peak and Changxiang Peak, overlooking the rippling Huangcai Reservoir. Peixiu Tomb is a large city with an area of about 30 square meters. Its tombstone, tomb and tomb are well preserved.

At the foot of Weishan, there is a temple and a Zen master. There is a site built by Miracle, a monk in the late Tang Dynasty-Miracle Temple. To the south of Guanshan, there is the tomb of Zhang Jun, the prime minister of the Southern Song Dynasty who resisted gold, and his son Zhang Wei. Walking southwest to the alley mouth, it is the hometown of Yi Jian, the champion of the Southern Song Dynasty and the minister of rites, and there is a tomb of Yi Shangshu nearby.

There are other natural and cultural landscapes in Weishan, such as immortal sacrifice treasure, Luhua Spring, Huixin Bridge, Yinghuan Spring, Jielong Bridge, oil salt stone and so on.

Weishan Maojian tea has been a royal tribute since the Song Dynasty, with an annual tribute of 20 kg. Nowadays, the planting area of tea trees is nearly 1 1,000 mu. Tea is rich in trace elements such as selenium and zinc, which is beneficial to people's physical and mental health and has anti-cancer effect. Weishan Town Government plans to build Weishan into a tourist town. With Miyin Temple, a thousand-year-old temple, as the leader, it integrates famous temples, famous mountains, celebrities, famous springs and famous products, with great potential and bright prospects.

The exquisite Shang and Zhou bronzes unearthed in Weishan area for many times cast a mysterious veil over this ancient town. Why are so many exquisite Shang and Zhou bronzes concentrated in David Mountain? Is it really Shun and his son "Wei" who developed here? Or a sacrificial place for a warlord in Shang and Zhou tribes?
