What is tertiary prevention of cancer?

Primary prevention-primary prevention or cause prevention. Its goal is to prevent the occurrence of cancer. Its tasks include studying the causes and risk factors of various cancers, taking preventive measures against chemical, physical, biological and other specific carcinogenic and cancer-promoting factors as well as internal and external pathogenic conditions, taking measures to strengthen environmental protection, and providing a healthy body with proper diet and proper exercise to improve physical and mental health. For individuals, this is phase 0, which is an important period of "nip in the bud".

Secondary prevention

Primary prevention-secondary prevention or preclinical prevention and "three early" prevention. Its goal is to prevent the development of primary diseases.

Its tasks include taking "three early" (early detection, early diagnosis and early treatment) measures for those potential or hidden diseases before the symptoms of cancer appear. In order to prevent or slow down the development of the disease, we should reverse it to phase 0 as soon as possible and restore health.

Tertiary prevention

Primary prevention-tertiary prevention, clinical prevention or rehabilitation prevention. Its goal is to prevent the disease from getting worse and prevent disability. Its task is to adopt multidisciplinary comprehensive diagnosis (MDD) and treatment (MDT), correctly choose a reasonable or even the best diagnosis and treatment scheme, so as to put out cancer as soon as possible, try our best to restore function, promote rehabilitation, prolong life, improve quality of life and even return to society.
