What disease is hypertrophic cardiomyopathy?

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy is characterized by myocardial hypertrophy, asymmetric ventricular septal hypertrophy, smaller ventricular cavity, blocked cardiac cavity filling and abnormal hypertrophy of myocardial cells.

Hypertrophic cardiomyopathy develops very slowly, and the general prognosis is relatively good. But because of the possibility of arrhythmia, it may lead to sudden death. Pay attention to avoid overwork and mental stress in life.

Beta blockers and propranolol can reduce myocardial contractility, relieve left ventricular outflow tract obstruction, improve the compliance of ventricular wall and left ventricular filling, and also have antiarrhythmic effects. In addition, calcium blockers and scopolamine drugs also have certain effects. However, when the pressure gradient is greater than 60mmHg, and the drug treatment effect is not significant or ineffective, surgical treatment should be considered.
