The fundamental reason for the problems of college students' mental health lies in the lack of positive, scientific and reasonable self-maintenance of mental health, which can not withstand the stimulation and blow of various external factors, and eventually lead to psychological distress and even mental illness. So how should we practice this question? I think there are the following ways:

The so-called health is explained in Ci Hai as: the human organ system is developed, the function is normal, the body is strong, energetic and the labor efficiency is good. It is usually measured by anthropometry, physical examination and various physiological indicators. According to the definition of the World Health Organization, health is a state of physical, mental and social adaptation, not just the absence of disease and weakness.
In my opinion, health not only refers to physical health, but also includes mental health and good social adaptability. Recently, I saw a criterion in relevant materials-"5+3 criterion", namely "five precepts" and "three virtues". The so-called five fasts mean eating fast, defecating fast, sleeping fast, talking fast and walking fast. The so-called three virtues are good character, good interpersonal skills and good interpersonal relationships. If we reach this standard, then we will be healthy.
In my opinion, college students' mental health mainly refers to the best psychological function state that individual psychology can achieve within the scope of its own and environmental conditions. There are two meanings: ① no mental illness; ② Be able to actively adjust one's mentality, adapt to the environment, and develop and improve one's personal life effectively and constructively.
And what is the standard of our mental health? I think it can be divided into six aspects: normal intellectual development
; Emotional stability and optimism
; Sound will and quality;
Moderate behavior coordination;
Harmonious interpersonal relationship
; Personality integrity and independence. And this standard can be understood from both internal and external aspects. Internally, the psychological function is sound, and appropriate means are used to meet the needs. Externally, the behavior conforms to the norms, the interpersonal relationship is coordinated, and the society adapts well. What we call mental health can be divided into two levels: positive and negative. Positive aspects: high-level, ambitious and valuable goals. Negative aspects: adaptation and balance, no inner conflict.
