Strait breast health

Let's start with a question: Are bean products good or bad for breast diseases?

People eat whole grains, why don't they get sick? For women, breast diseases and gynecological diseases are the most common diseases. If women are in a state of estrogen accumulation for a long time, they may change breast diseases, such as mammary duct hyperplasia and even breast cancer.

It is undeniable that soy products, such as soybeans, all contain isoflavones, which have estrogen-like effects. That is to say, isoflavones are similar to estrogen secreted by human body in molecular structure and function, and can combine with estrogen receptors on cells to play the same role as estrogen [1].

But will eating more soy products containing isoflavones really accelerate the occurrence of breast diseases as legendary? In fact, it's not like this at all:

First of all, the estrogen activity of this plant source is very weak, even if the intake is 100 times of the estrogen secreted by the human body itself, the activity is only one thousandth or even one ten thousandth of it, which belongs to weak estrogen [2]. But because of its existence, it can competitively interfere with the combination of estrogen expressed by itself and its receptor. As a result, although estrogen is rich and active in the body, it makes you unable to play its role. Therefore, in the case of increasing endogenous estrogen, eating soy products will not only accelerate the occurrence of breast diseases, but also play a more or less inhibitory role.

Secondly, it is reported that phytoestrogens can also reduce the level of endogenous ovarian steroids, thus reducing the occurrence of breast cancer [3]. It can also exert anticancer activity by inducing apoptosis and inhibiting gene or non-gene mechanisms such as tyrosine kinase and topoisomerase [4].

Therefore, it is not only beneficial for patients with breast diseases to eat soy products, but also beneficial for normal healthy people to eat soy products properly.

Special attention: if you have breast disease, kidney disease and gout at the same time, you should eat less soy products.
