To control blood sugar for a long time, daily life and family diet are the key. I constantly change my previous bad lifestyle and habits in my family diet, so as to achieve a balanced diet, a combination of meat and vegetables, try not to eat leftovers every day, and strictly control the amount of 25 grams of oil and 6 grams of salt per person per day; Do not eat or eat less fried and barbecue foods, and the cooking methods are mainly steaming and boiling; Eat more vegetables, eat proper amount of fruit when adding meals, and eat less or no sweets; Record your diet every day, eat eight points full every day, combine diet with exercise to ensure adequate sleep; Walk fast every morning and evening 1 hour. Only by scientifically arranging family diet and daily life can my family and I stay away from illness, feel happy and be healthy. At the same time, blood sugar before and after meals is strictly monitored, and glycosylated hemoglobin is checked every 3 months. My blood sugar has been relatively stable in the past ten years. My fasting blood glucose is within 5.0-6.8, postprandial blood glucose is between 7.8- 10.0mmol/L, and glycosylated hemoglobin is about 6.5%. Diabetes is not terrible. As long as the protracted war of blood sugar monitoring is well played, there will be no chance of complications.

My wife Lao Du is also a type 2 diabetic. She also suffered from high blood pressure and hyperlipidemia, and had a "small stroke" in 2003. Although minor stroke has been cured, he still suffers from hypertension, diabetes and hyperlipidemia. When his blood pressure rises, I always worry about the recurrence of his minor stroke. I don't know how to control various diseases in my daily life in order to make my body healthier and have a higher quality of life. So, I invited him to join me in the health class of Lu Gu Community Health Service Center, and also invited him to participate in the training and study of family health workers. Through general health classes and training for family caregivers, we know that it is incorrect to pay attention to treatment and neglect health care and disease prevention in the past. In daily life, we all have unhealthy behavior habits, which lead to the decline of physical health and the occurrence of diseases over time. Hypertension and hyperlipidemia are the risk factors of coronary heart disease and the "culprit" of acute myocardial infarction. Although Lao Du and I are both housekeepers, my responsibility is more important. Therefore, I analyzed Lao Du's hypertension and found that his obesity and bad habits of smoking and drinking were the important reasons for his hypertension and hyperlipidemia. In order to control his hypertension and complicated cerebrovascular diseases, it is necessary to apply the health knowledge and skills learned in health classes to daily life. In order to know his blood pressure and blood sugar accurately, in addition to urging him to take medicine according to the doctor's advice on time, I also bought a sphygmomanometer at home, and I learned to measure my blood pressure and blood sugar myself. Regular measurement, found abnormal situation, and actively communicated with his contracted doctor to adjust the treatment plan. In the past three years, his blood pressure, blood lipid and blood sugar have basically stabilized in the normal range.

I am an honorable family health worker. In order to do this job well, I insist on taking part in the study and training of family health workers and the study of health classes, self-learning books such as 300 Questions about Chronic Diseases, and constantly mastering, consolidating and updating the knowledge about chronic diseases. On 20 15, Lu Gu Center recommended me to participate in the "Healthy Disks" lecture held in Shijingshan District, and achieved good results. In the "sugar partner" group activities, I actively assisted the team leader who was responsible for signing in, measuring blood sugar and taking notes, actively participated in group communication and learned from each other; May 20th/July/9th, KOLOC participated in the activity of "signing a family doctor to accompany the health March on May 9th/KOLOC".
