Steps/methods
Click the Benchmark option above the HD Tune software, and then click Start. The function of this option is to test the reading and writing speed of the hard disk.
Click the brand, firmware version, serial number, size and interface type of the Info hard disk. For example, my hard disk is Seagate's 40GB5400 rpm old IDE interface hard disk, and the maximum data transfer rate is 100MBps.
Click the "Health" option. This is the most important thing. First look at the whole, the health status in the lower left corner: normal. It means there is nothing wrong with my hard disk.
The small option "motor start/stop count" indicates how many times the machine has been shut down.
The "Cumulative Boot Times" option indicates how long the hard disk has been used. The newly bought computer running software can show whether the computer has been used or not, and prevent profiteers from cheating.
The small option "power cycle count" indicates how many times the computer has been restarted.
The "Error Scan" option is to check your hard disk for bad tracks. Green means health, and there is no bad road. Red indicates that there is a bad track and the hard disk is going to break down. Please send the data in time. I won't introduce other options one by one. I don't think they are that important or useful.
Matters needing attention
Especially when testing the "benchmark" option, all applications such as antivirus and movie reading hard disk should be closed to avoid affecting the hard disk test.
