How to judge whether a puppy is healthy?

First, judge according to the overall mental state of the dog. Dogs and people have many similarities, but also have emotional expressions, such as happiness, disappointment, anger and so on. Moreover, mental state is a comprehensive reflection of the dog's health. Choose a dog, choose a lively and smart one to take home.

Second, according to the dog's appearance: whether the hair is clean and tidy, whether the muscles are well-proportioned, whether the limbs are well-proportioned, whether the movements are vigorous, whether the pace is steady, whether there is a slope toe phenomenon and so on. A beautiful dog will be more pleasing.

Judging from the dog's ears, nose and eyes, a healthy dog's ears are clean and sensitive, and it can make noise behind the dog in an open place. If a dog actively looks for a sound source, then its hearing is normal.

A healthy dog's nose should be moist, cool and clean. The dog's eyes should be clear and clean, black and white, and have a spirit. If the dog's cornea is cloudy, the white spot may be canine distemper or infectious hepatitis.

Judging from the dog's mouth: mainly judging from the teeth, gums, breathing and secretions. Healthy dogs' teeth should be white, free of tartar and damage, their gums should be pink, there should be no foaming secretions, and their breath should not be too bad.

5. Judging from the dog's foot pad, the dog's foot pad is soft and tender, and the adult dog's foot pad is plump and firm. If the dog's foot pad is cracked, it means malnutrition. If the dog's foot pad is hard, it may be an early manifestation of canine distemper.

Sixth, judging from the dog's tail: see if the dog's tail is free to move and whether there is any joint distortion. At the same time, the state of the tail can also explain the character of a pet dog. Dogs with tails between their legs are always timid and nervous.
