According to the floors, the whole museum is divided into three sections: knowing yourself, knowing nature and knowing Shuozhou. There are seven theme exhibition areas, including life and health, children's science park, basic science, energy materials, space navigation, popular science dream theater and Shuozhou characteristic museum.

Shuozhou Science and Technology Museum aims at improving the scientific quality of the whole people, takes the service of popular science exhibition and education as its own responsibility, adheres to the concept of "combining exhibition with education", and builds a popular science team with good scientific literacy to serve the audience. The fourth floor of the building is the exhibition area, and the first floor includes the preface hall, the temporary exhibition hall, the dream theater and two permanent exhibition halls, namely, the life and health exhibition hall with the theme of "knowing yourself" and the children's science park exhibition hall with the theme of "knowing nature".
