After the four of us met in Nanning on June 5th, we left for Dongxing at noon. There are many people who know Chinese in Halong Bay, but RMB is also in circulation. Wengdao Street is a gathering place for foreigners, and there are many small family hotels. The price is 6- 12 USD/room. Guests can look at the room first and then make a counter-offer. The bar and restaurant are just ahead.
Traveling to Halong Bay is usually chartered. You can contact the hotel directly. They can arrange it for you, but you must bargain. It's about 500,000 guilders /8 hours, 280,000 guilders /4 hours, and lunch is extra. These boats are all good, and can carry more than 20 people, so the more people, the cheaper the share. The longer the time, the more scenic spots you go to, but generally 4 hours is almost the same. We rented a boat for eight hours and sat for a whole day, and the scenery was similar. We spend most of the afternoon sleeping, which is a waste.
From Halong Bay to Hanoi, you can take the bus of Xinkefei, which takes about 4-5 hours, and the fare is 4 dollars per person. This is a travel company that specializes in serving foreign tourists. The car condition and service are very good.
Hanoi (Hanoi)
Hanoi is a small colonial city. There are many towering trees and French buildings on the street. But the proliferation of motorcycles is also one of the characteristics of Vietnam. You can also see many characteristics of China culture here. Chinese was used in early Vietnam, so temples and ancestral halls were entirely China's, and Chinese characters were also used. Bicycles and motorcycles can be rented in Hanoi, and every hotel in Old Street offers them. Bike for one day 1 USD, motorcycle for 4 USD. But Hanoi is very small, so I think cycling is the best choice. I walked all the scenic spots by bike in one day.

It takes 14 hours to drive from Hanoi to hue. Because the scenery along the way is average, most backpackers choose to take the night bus, leaving at 7 pm and arriving at 9 am. On the way, you can enjoy the sunrise in the fields of Vietnam and save a day's money.
Hue is the ancient capital of Vietnam. Here, we mainly visit the imperial city, Xiangjiang River and the imperial tomb. Hue is a beautiful and quiet ancient city, where there are many family hotels.
