Judy's Health Theory —— Gluten-free Diet

Gluten-free diet refers to foods that are completely gluten-free.

The word gluten may not be familiar to many friends. It refers to a group of protein in cereals, especially wheat.

We can digest and absorb gluten normally, but if we can't digest gluten completely for some reason.

That is likely to cause damage to our intestines, when the undigested protein enters the blood.

Our immune system can't recognize it and will start attacking it, which will cause various autoimmune diseases, one of which is directly related to celiac disease.

Celiac disease/etiological mechanism

In recent years, it has been found that many seemingly unrelated diseases are actually related to gluten sensitivity.

Such as irritable bowel syndrome, inflammatory bowel disease, cancer, eczema, asthma, chronic fatigue, rheumatoid arthritis and multiple sclerosis.

There are also many neuropsychiatric diseases related to gluten, such as depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, memory loss, inattention, autism and so on.

We understand the relationship between gluten and these growing chronic diseases, and naturally think that gluten-free diet should be able to alleviate related symptoms and help regulate related chronic diseases.

Indeed, a survey of 20 13 shows that 30% of Americans are willing to eat gluten-free food.

The reason for this is the following:

First, because there are more and more studies on gluten, the metabolism and influence of gluten in the body are becoming more and more clear;

Second, there is a lot of popular science education. From the popularity of the best-selling book "Cereal Brain" to more and more relevant information entering people's field of vision, "gluten" has changed from an uncommon word to a popular word;

Third: more and more people are testing, and the feedback is very good, which promotes a new product chain-from restaurants to processed foods, making gluten-free diet easier to implement and helping more people.

In retrospect, the popularity of gluten-free diet was in the last 10 year.

10 years ago, gluten-free foods were seen in supermarkets, but the proportion was very small, and they were mainly in healthy or organic supermarkets.

Now it can be seen in almost all supermarkets, and health or organic supermarkets have set up counters, ranging from gluten-free flour raw materials to various processed foods.

When you go to a restaurant, you can order a gluten-free pizza. When you go to a fast food restaurant, you can buy a gluten-free hamburger.

Because gluten-free gluten can heal the intestines, many people have no obvious clinical symptoms, but because gluten-free gluten makes them feel more energetic, they become advocates of gluten-free diet.

Gluten-free diet, as a diet therapy, is very effective for celiac disease which is difficult to be improved by drugs in clinic.

This diet can not only relieve the symptoms, but also slowly heal the intestines, make the symptoms disappear and greatly improve the whole quality of life.

The relationship between gluten and autism gives us a deeper understanding of gluten.

Gluten-free diet has helped many children improve their symptoms in a short time, and it has attracted more and more attention in professional fields.

A gluten-free diet can be said to be very simple. You can eat rice instead of pasta. Look at the labels like soy sauce. If there is wheat in it, it is not needed. If you like snacks, just look at the label and make sure there is no wheat.

Of course, for friends with serious problems, some foods may be contaminated by wheat flour, which may also have an impact. Then try to choose high-quality food, and have no other basic requirements. It's simple!

But some friends must have said, I'm from the north, man.

Head and noodles are my favorites. How can I not eat them?

Really? If you have diarrhea, flatulence and abdominal pain every day, but don't eat for a day, these symptoms will be relieved, and if you don't eat for a week, you will improve a lot. What would you choose? I believe the answer is already in your heart.

Studies have found that many physical discomfort symptoms are related to gluten in food, such as feeling tired, skin problems, joint problems, poor memory and so on. This may have something to do with what you eat.

I hope that the topic I shared with you today will help you broaden your mind, find the root cause of health problems and become healthier and healthier.
