People's happiness is the ultimate goal of social development and an important yardstick to measure scientific development. Our province took the lead in proposing the development goal of building a happy Guangdong, taking the lead in incorporating happiness indicators into the performance appraisal system, establishing a scientific happiness Guangdong indicator system, and releasing comprehensive evaluation reports on happiness indicators in various places. Compared with the evaluation system with GDP as the evaluation index, happiness measurement is more scientific and can comprehensively evaluate the living conditions and happiness of a local resident.
Happiness measurement is a rectification of GDP-only theory and a transcendence of GDP development model.
