Metabolic process of lipids in the body

1. Triglycerides stored in adipocytes are hydrolyzed into free fatty acids and glycerol under the action of triglyceride lipase, and released into the blood;

2. Fatty acids combine with plasma albumin to form fatty acid-albumin complex, which is transported to whole body tissues and absorbed and utilized mainly by heart, liver and skeletal muscle.

3. Glycerol is soluble in water and can be directly transported to tissues such as liver, kidney and intestine.
