In order to comply with the national medical and health reform process and improve residents' medical conditions, tongji hospital, affiliated to Huazhong University of Science and Technology in tongji hospital, and Hubei Branch of Bank of China Co., Ltd. jointly launched the first resident health card with financial function in China, establishing residents' health records and medical electronic medical records only by ID card identification, realizing new technologies such as cross-regional and cross-medical unit information sharing, self-service card issuance, and once-activated financial and diagnosis and treatment applications, which pioneered the national banking-medical cooperation model and greatly facilitated patients' diagnosis and treatment.
