rabies vaccines

It's totally different. One is rabies vaccine for dogs, and the other is rabies vaccine for people. Dogs are used to ensure that cats and dogs will not get rabies, and people are used to ensure that people will not get rabies after being bitten or scratched by cats and dogs.

Experts pointed out that people often think that giving dogs five, six or seven shots of vaccine can achieve the effect of preventing rabies between dogs. The Center for Disease Control and Prevention of Hubei Province tested 325 pet dogs for rabies virus antibodies. It was found that only 38 dogs (1 1.7%) can produce protective rabies virus antibodies (that is, the antibodies are strongly positive), which can effectively prevent rabies infection and morbidity among dogs. Therefore, a pet dog vaccinated on time cannot guarantee that it will not be infected by rabies virus, nor can it be mistaken that people and dogs will get along safely after being vaccinated.

Experts believe that it is not good for vaccines to prevent dog diseases from interfering with each other. At present, five vaccines, six vaccines and seven vaccines are mainly used to prevent canine distemper and parvovirus. Monovalent rabies vaccine should be used to prevent rabies, and vaccination is effective.

Public health experts solemnly suggest that the following measures should be taken to truly protect vaccinated pet dogs: 1. While giving dogs five, six and seven vaccines regularly, it is best to give dogs a monovalent rabies vaccine according to the procedure. Two, vaccination monovalent rabies vaccine, it is best to use human rabies vaccine. Three, due to individual differences, usually only more than 80% of individuals can produce rabies virus antibodies according to procedures, so rabies virus antibody detection should be carried out one month after vaccination. If the protective rabies virus antibody cannot be produced, the monovalent rabies vaccine should be re-inoculated or strengthened to ensure the immune effect. Only in this way can people get in close contact with pet dogs more safely.
