Bought a second-hand hard drive, health status warning. Is the master serious?

(05) remap sector count If there is data, it means that the hard disk has bad tracks. If the displayed data is higher than the threshold, the data on the hard disk can be backed up.

The remapped sector count shows that the hard disk has a sector problem and cannot be read or written. S.M.A.R.T has enabled the spare sector. The damaged sectors are written into the G list. Spare sectors are limited. If the spare sectors are used up, the hard disk will have bad tracks. See if your value has been rising. If it rises to the red warning, the hard disk will basically hang up.

Therefore, if 05 items of data do not keep growing or are very small, it means that the hard disk is still healthy and can't scan any bad tracks. If there are too many remapped sectors, the speed of reading and writing will be affected.

It still works, so don't worry too much. But it is best not to store very important data.
