Introduction of Yongkang Center for Disease Control and Prevention

Yongkang Center for Disease Control and Prevention was formally established in the health system reform in 2002. It was established on the basis of the original Yongkang Health and Epidemic Prevention Station, and directly affiliated to the health professional institutions. It is the city's public health technical guidance center. At present, there are 56 employees in the center, including 50 health technicians, 3 with senior titles and 27 with intermediate titles. It consists of three functional departments: office, technical quality management department and general affairs department, as well as disease control department I, disease control department II, public health department, health education department, physical examination department, health inspection and testing center, and skin disease and sexually transmitted disease prevention and control center. The laboratory has advanced testing instruments, which are mainly responsible for the inspection and evaluation of infectious diseases, endemic diseases, water quality and food, as well as the detection and evaluation of occupational hazard factors, and has obtained the qualification certificate of Class B occupational health technical service issued by the Provincial Health Department.
