At 7: 30 every morning, we come to the ward to brush our teeth, wash our faces and comb our hair for patients who are seriously ill and unable to take care of themselves, and make the bed unit for each patient. Most of our patients with skin diseases come from rural areas. Due to the long hospitalization time, there are many personal belongings everywhere, including beds, bedside tables and window sills. We clean them again and again to keep the ward clean. We actively and enthusiastically help patients turn on water, make bed units, help them change clothes, help them urinate, wash their hair, cut their nails, and so on. We also posted eye-catching humanized slogans on the corridor wall to remind patients to pay attention to safety. Because many postoperative patients in our department have to stay in bed for braking, in order to get better life care for patients, the hospital also specially bought a shampoo machine, so that patients can wash their hair in bed and feel as comfortable as at home in the hospital. In the past, when the pager rang, family members or patients could only call to see the nurse. But now nurses are constantly patrolling the wards, actively and timely providing nursing services for patients. The nurses stayed in the ward for a long time, and they observed the patient's condition more and more carefully. Even the doctors praised us. I remember my first patient was a patient with postoperative squamous cell carcinoma. Because I need bed rest and braking after operation, I need to wash my face, feed my meal and help me urinate and defecate after operation. When the patient was discharged from the hospital, he thanked us very much. Seeing the smile on his face, he really felt that his contribution had been affirmed and lived up to the title of angels in white.
