Second, how does cognitive theory explain psychological abnormality?
(1) It is not the negative event itself or the past experience that determines the psychological abnormality, but whether a person's view on this matter is reasonable or not. Unreasonable cognition leads to negative emotions, which leads to abnormal behavior.

That is illogical "dogma": catchy and easy to spread. But it has logical fallacies such as generalization and absolutism, including superstition, mysticism and conspiracy theory.
Common irrational "dogma": there are no parents who don't love their children; Beating is kissing, scolding is love and so on.
