Health care course is an adaptive physical education course for students with special physical conditions (students with disabilities, some physical abnormalities, traits and diseases, disabilities, weakness and other special groups, or students diagnosed by doctors with various diseases that are not suitable for strenuous exercise, or students who are physically injured due to unexpected events and are not suitable for strenuous exercise in a short time). Based on sports theory, sports physiology, sports medicine and other sports human science knowledge, this course improves the health status of these students by participating in appropriate sports activities, thus enhancing their physique, and making scientific exercise prescriptions according to their own health status. It is an organic part of college physical education curriculum.
By imparting knowledge of fitness and health care, learning Tai Ji Chuan and Qigong, students can learn corresponding technical movements, develop good fitness habits, learn to correctly evaluate physical function and health status, and know how to formulate appropriate exercise prescriptions on the basis of understanding their own physical conditions. By carrying out physical activities as much as possible, students can get proper exercise, and students with special physical conditions (diseases or disabilities) can choose appropriate physical exercise methods, so as to achieve the purpose of fitness.
