Caring for the next generation is an important part of education and an unshirkable responsibility of our education department. Over the past few years, we have conscientiously implemented the "Several Opinions of the State Council of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of China on Further Strengthening and Improving the Ideological and Moral Construction of Minors" and the "Working Rules" and "Basic Requirements" formulated by the Provincial Working Committee and the Provincial Education System Working Committee, and put care for the next generation in an important position and included it in the agenda of the Bureau Party Committee. First, the Party Committee of the Bureau attaches great importance to the organizational construction and system construction of the Education System Working Committee of our city. In recent years, under the organization of the Provincial Education System Working Committee and Jingjiang Municipal Working Committee, eight veteran comrades have visited and studied in Hunan, Guizhou, Hainan, Guangdong, Kunshan, Nantong and other cities in our province, learning from others and constantly improving the working level of the Working Committee of our bureau.

In recent years, together with the Municipal Association of Retired Teachers and the Volunteer Service Group of Old Teachers, we have mobilized and organized healthy old school leaders and teachers, especially those who have just retired, to participate in caring for the next generation. Caring for vulnerable groups and special groups is the basic work to realize social equity and build a harmonious society, and it is also a major event related to people's livelihood. In the education system of our city, under the leadership of the Party committee and government and the support of relevant departments, and under the guidance of the Municipal Working Committee, the working committees at all levels have also done a lot of work in actively organizing, cooperating, participating and promoting the care for vulnerable groups and special groups.

In the autumn semester of 2007, the enrollment of special schools in the city increased by more than 40 mentally retarded children.
While doing a good job in the study of students in special schools, we actively donate money and materials to students with family difficulties to help them solve practical difficulties. On February 3rd, 2007, taking the opportunity of commemorating 16 World Disabled Persons' Day, we jointly organized a large-scale fund-raising activity of "Caring for the Disabled" with the Municipal Disabled Persons' Federation, the Youth League Committee, the Women's Federation and other departments, which received enthusiastic response from people from all walks of life in the city, and raised a total of nearly 200,000 yuan. By watching the scene and listening to the introduction, the executive deputy directors of the working committees of towns (parks) and schools in the city turned the spirit of the meeting into work motivation, which made the city's care for left-behind children reach a new level. Do a good job in the education and management of children of floating population. All schools in our city treat the children of migrant workers equally. In order to take care of the children of migrant workers, we have made it clear that Zhenwu Primary School, Chengnan Primary School, Hongwei Primary School, Changli Primary School and No.4 Middle School are nearby schools for children of migrant workers. At the same time, it is stipulated that schools of all levels and types in the city shall not refuse the children of migrant workers to enter school, and the children of migrant workers enjoy the same treatment as students in this city.
Migrant workers generally have a low level of education and poor economic conditions, and most of their children have poor academic performance. According to this actual situation, learn from the experience of caring for left-behind children's education and management, and carry out pairing activities, that is, care more in life, help more in study, and talk more in peacetime. The school also signed a letter of responsibility with teachers, asking them to treat migrant children as their relatives, help them overcome psychological barriers, correct some deviant behaviors, and strive to improve their academic performance, especially the enrollment rate and consolidation rate of migrant children as an important part of the school's assessment of teachers, thus basically eliminating the phenomenon of dropping out of school. Old teachers are also mobilized to come to the door for counseling during the holiday of migrant children. On February 26th this year, the front page of Taizhou Daily reported that more than 20 teachers in Hongwei Primary School in our city were concerned that the children of migrant workers could not fall behind.

The Compilation of Family Rules and Family Instructions, the first in China, has become a supplementary teaching material for the working committees of all schools in our city to learn and publicize the socialist concept of honor and disgrace, and has also attracted the attention of many media in China, such as Xinhua Daily, Taizhou Daily, Xinhuanet, Sina.com and Jiangsu Satellite TV. In accordance with the requirements of the Municipal Civilization Committee, in 2007, we formed a series of activities to build family style, incorporated family style into the creation of harmonious families and civilized families, vigorously publicized and promoted excellent works of family training, and promoted the family training to enter and take root, making it a common practice for urban and rural areas in the city to attach importance to family education and practice family training, making due contributions to building a harmonious Jingjiang. The Working Committee of the Education Bureau held a special meeting and put forward specific requirements for implementing the spirit of the document. Taking students of all ages, communities and schools as the initiative, all schools in the city have effectively carried out the activity of "Civilization and Etiquette Accompany Me", and a number of pioneer units such as foreign language schools, experimental schools, No.3 Middle School, Chengbei Primary School and Jishi Town Central Primary School have emerged. Chengbei Primary School in our city won the gold medal in the cultural performance celebrating the 10th anniversary of Hong Kong's return to China.
In recent years, although we have done some things and carried out some useful activities in caring for the next generation, there are still some shortcomings in our work, such as the construction of parent schools and off-campus counseling stations, which have not yet met the requirements put forward by the Provincial Education System Committee.
Caring for the work of the next generation is a lasting cause that benefits the present and the future.
