According to the different management of student status, it can be divided into academic graduate students and non-academic graduate students. Postgraduates with academic qualifications refer to those who take part in the entrance examination organized by the state (including the exemption examination recommended by fresh graduates and the separate entrance examination organized by some colleges and universities approved by the Ministry of Education) and obtain postgraduate status after being admitted.
There are full-time and part-time graduate students in general higher education. Upon graduation, if the course study and thesis defense meet the requirements of the Academic Degrees Regulations, you can get a master's diploma and a master's degree certificate.
Non-academic graduate refers to a graduate student who does not take the entrance examination organized by the state, does not have a student status, participates in the postgraduate course, completes the course according to the teaching plan, passes the national unified examination of foreign language level and comprehensive level of the master's degree organized by the state, obtains the qualification for degree application, and then obtains the degree certificate through the master's thesis defense, but does not have the postgraduate diploma.
