1: Open the browser and download the official detection and repair tool Data Lifeguard Diagnosis of Western Digital.
2. First, close all running programs and open the document, then unzip the downloaded compressed package and click WinDlg.exe.
3: Because of the data lifeguard diagnosis? It is an official original Western Digital detection and repair tool, and the whole interface is in English. However, due to its few menus and explanatory texts, it can be quickly mastered with a little explanation.
4. In the pop-up window, check "I accept the license agreement" first, and then click Next, and the software will start (installation is not required).
5: In the opened interface, the upper column is the hard disk installed on the current computer.

Click the right mouse button on the detected hard disk, and the operation menu will pop up, from top to bottom:
1) Operation detection
2) display hard disk information

When we click the first "Run Test", another operation menu will pop up, which means from top to bottom:
1) rapid detection
2) Extended detection
3) Write test (padding 0)
4) Test results
Choose one of them according to your own needs, and then click the "Start" button below.

Let's briefly introduce each operation.
1) Fast detection: the whole hard disk is scanned quickly, and the whole detection process takes about several minutes.
2) Extended detection: scan the whole hard disk accurately, and it takes 1-2 hours according to the size of the hard disk.
3) Write the test (fill in 0): Write the test on the hard disk.
4) Test results: After the test, you can click here to view the test results.
