Try digital RMB: I am one of 50,000 lucky people.

"One operation is as fierce as a tiger, and the red envelope is two and a half." In recent years, with the normalization of Internet giant's marketing model of "throwing money" during the Spring Festival, the freshness of the national people's collective "bonus hunter" is rapidly declining.

In sharp contrast, the digital RMB red envelopes distributed in Beijing, Suzhou, Shenzhen and other places before and after the Spring Festival holiday attracted many citizens' active participation, among which lucky consumers also felt a "new payment experience" first.

Some experts in the industry pointed out that the digital RMB red envelopes launched by many cities during the Spring Festival will help to further implement the local Chinese New Year policy, further encourage citizens to expand consumption, and help boost the consumer market and further expand domestic demand.

Beijing distributed 50,000 digital RMB red envelopes, and the winning rate was only 2%.

Unexpectedly, I finally got the 200 yuan digital RMB red envelope and became one of the 50,000 lucky people in Beijing.

However, the 200 yuan digital RMB drawn this time is not permanently valid, and its validity period is as of 24: 00 on February 2002 1717. The successful bidder can spend it at the designated merchants in Wangfujing business district or in JD.COM APP area.

In this regard, some experts in the industry pointed out that issuing digital RMB during the Spring Festival is an innovative way to encourage all localities to "celebrate the New Year on the spot", and the timeliness of red envelopes also helps to achieve the goal of instantly boosting consumption.

Dong Ximiao, a part-time researcher at the Institute of Finance of Fudan University, believes that by issuing digital RMB red envelopes, citizens can be further encouraged to expand consumption, which is conducive to boosting the consumer market and further expanding domestic demand. In addition, when issuing digital RMB red envelopes, it is not only for local registered citizens, but also for new citizens who spend the New Year in the local area, which is conducive to the further implementation of the local Chinese New Year policy.

Accelerate all parts of the country to further encourage citizens to expand consumption.

On June 5438+ 10, 2020, Shenzhen issued 100000 yuan "Enjoy Luohu digital RMB red envelope". On June 5438+ 10 this year, Longhua District of Shenzhen launched the Spring Festival digital RMB red envelope activity, and distributed 654.38 million 200 yuan red envelopes to those who stayed in Shenzhen to pay social security in the area during the Spring Festival, which can be used by designated merchants who have completed the transformation of the digital RMB system in the area.

Suzhou launched a 20 million yuan digital RMB consumption red envelope in June 5438+February 2020, and launched the "Digital RMB Suzhou New Year Festival JD.COM Special Session" in February this year, distributing 6.5438+0.5 million 200 yuan New Year Festival red envelopes.

It is worth noting that the theme of issuing digital RMB red envelopes in different cities is different in different places.

Taking Suzhou as an example, during the Suzhou New Year Festival, local city commercial banks gave full play to their advantages of being familiar with the local market, actively cooperated with the operating organization Bank of China, participated in the pilot application of digital RMB in Suzhou, and joined hands with many Suzhou time-honored merchants to further enrich the application scenarios of digital RMB. Judging from the recommended time-honored merchants, the organizers also intend to guide consumers to live a "Soviet-style year".

The theme of the Winter Olympics is a major feature of the Beijing Digital RMB Red Packet Pilot Program. Digital RMB red envelopes can be used in a series of sports brand stores, such as Wangfujing Gongmei Building's Winter Olympics Licensed Commodity Management Zone, Wang Fu Central "Paradise on Ice" and Tiantan Sports Center.

In particular, the use of digital RMB red envelopes does not need to be bound to any bank card, even if there is no bank account, it can be paid through digital RMB, which greatly enhances the inclusiveness of financial services.

There is no handling fee at all, copy the back road of WeChat and Alipay?

In fact, many consumers are not clear about the difference between digital RMB wallet and mobile payment tools such as WeChat payment and Alipay that we use every day.

After several rounds of intensive promotion, the advantages of digital RMB are gradually known to the general public.

Digital RMB is the legal tender in digital form issued by the People's Bank of China. It is operated by a designated operating organization and is convertible for the public, which is equivalent to paper money and coins. Different from Bitcoin, in China, digital RMB is legal tender in digital form, which has value characteristics and legal compensation.

In addition, digital RMB is also different from Alipay and WeChat (payment). Alipay and WeChat are just payment platforms. These payment platforms are just "porters" of money, and they need to be bound with bank cards to pay or withdraw cash. digital currency itself is money.

Therefore, the advantages of digital RMB are obvious.

For consumers, first of all, digital RMB is safer and more convenient than the payment method of the third-party platform, which can realize double off-line payment and meet the electronic payment demand in places with poor network signal like paper money. Secondly, a handling fee of about 0. 1% is required for withdrawing cash on third-party platforms such as WeChat and Alipay, but no handling fee is required for withdrawing cash in digital RMB.

At present, more and more ATMs are labeled with the red logo of "Digital RMB", and these ATMs have the function of digital RMB deposit and withdrawal.

For merchants, the biggest advantage of digital RMB is also free. It is understood that merchants need to pay a handling fee to the platform when collecting money from Alipay or WeChat. At present, the payment code rate of Alipay and WeChat payment merchants is generally around 0.6%. Although there are various free cash withdrawal quotas and discounts, it is not so affordable for businesses.

It can be seen that both businesses and consumers can enjoy the convenience of mobile payment by using digital RMB without paying any handling fees.

In addition, compared with traditional paper money, digital RMB has a significant advantage that it is more secure, because digital RMB will record every transaction (the last time), and even if the mobile phone is stolen and the password is cracked, it can find out the whereabouts of each layer of money.

Undoubtedly, the popularity of digital RMB will bring more convenience, and businesses and ordinary users will benefit from it. In the future, the digital RMB is fully mature, and it is likely to become the strongest competitor of third-party payment tools such as WeChat and Alipay.
