Izu is the hometown of poetry. People all over the world say so.
A historian said that Izu is the epitome of Japanese history.
Izu is a model of the south, I want to add.
Yidu can be said to be a gallery of all mountains and seas.
The whole Izu Peninsula is a big garden and a big playground. In other words, Izu Peninsula is full of natural gifts and beautiful changes.
Today, Izu has three entrances: Shimoda, Mishima Xiushan Temple and Rehai. No matter where you go, the first thing you see is Izu's milk and the hot spring on your body. But because of the different entrances you choose, you must feel that there are three different Izu.
Xiushan Temple in the north and Xia Tian in the south meet at Tiancheng Pass. Shanbei is called Waidou, which belongs to Tian Fang County, and Shannan is called Neidou, which belongs to Hemao County. Not only are the plant species and flowering periods on the north and south sides different, but the sky and sea color in Shannan are filled with the breath of the south. Tiancheng Huoshan is about 44 kilometers long from east to west and 24 kilometers long from north to south, occupying one-third of the peninsula. The Kuroshio at sea surrounded the peninsula from three sides. This mountain and this sea are two elements that add luster to Izu. If camellia is a flower on the coast, heather is a flower on Tiancheng Mountain. The valley is quiet and the native trees are dense, which makes it hard for you to imagine that it used to be a small peninsula. Tiancheng Mountain is a famous deer hunting ground. Only after crossing this mountain can you taste the journey of Izu.
The train to Rehai is very fashionable and called "Romantic Train". Love to death is a famous product of Rehai. Rehai is a metropolis of Izu and a city with modern characteristics, which is the hometown of Kanto Hot Springs. If Xiushan Temple is called a historical hot spring, then Rehai is a geographical hot spring. Near Xiushan Temple. Quiet and lonely; Near the Rehai, it is warm and handsome. The coastline from Izuyama to Yidong is reminiscent of southern Europe, showing the bright side of Izu. But with the charm of the south, the coastline of Naidou is more like a simple pastoral!
There are four hot springs in Yidou, namely Rehai, Yidong, Xiushan Temple and Changgang. There are twenty or thirty hot springs in Yidou, and there are hundreds in Yidong alone. These are the remains of Xuan Yue volcano, Tiancheng volcano, Maoyue volcano and desert volcano. Izu is the representative of Male Volcano country. In addition, the geysers in Rehai, the hot springs blowing from the Mao Feng of Xiahe River, the huge waves on Shilangqi at the southern tip of the peninsula, the floods in Kanyechuan, the rock walls along the coastline, and the lush plants ... all these have the power of men.
However, the spring water flowing everywhere reminds people of the warmth and fullness of breast milk. This is the life of Izu. Although there are few fields, there are cooperative villages, duty-free towns, delicious food, and gentle women enjoying Kuroshio and eye rituals, showing a green face.
The railway only has Rehai Line and Xiushan Temple Line, and it only leads to the entrance of Izu. Before the completion of Danna Line and Izu Ring Road, the traffic here was very inconvenient. Instead, buses extending in all directions. Walking on the journey of Izu, you can always hear the flute rhyme of carriages and the songs of Jianghu artists.
The main road extends along the seashore and the river. Some go from Rehaitong to Yidong, some from Shimoda to the east coast, some stretch along the west coast, and some reach Shangcheng Mountain along the bank of Jian Ye. Then, along the river, Jinchuan and Inverse Sichuan go south ... Hot springs are scattered on both sides of these roads. In addition, the mountain road from Hakone-machi to Rehai, Matsuzaki Road crossing the mountain road where cats cross, and the mountain road from Xiushan Temple to Ito, all these mountain roads also regard Izu as a paradise and gallery on the journey.
Yidu Peninsula starts from Hejunwan in the west and reaches Xiangmowan in the east. It is about 59 kilometers long from north to south and 36 kilometers wide from east to west. The surface movement is about 406 square kilometers, accounting for one-fifth of Shizuoka Prefecture. Although the area is small, the coastline is longer than that of Jie Jun and Yuanjiang combined. Volcanoes overlap and geology is complex, which makes the scenery of Izu extremely changeable.
Nowadays, people say that Tsukizu in Izu is the most pleasant place in Japan, and the whole peninsula is like a big garden. But in the Nara era, it was a terrible exile, and it didn't flourish until the Yuan Dynasty dispatched troops. At the end of the shogunate, there was a time when foreign black ships invaded. There are countless historical sites here, including Xiushan Temple where Fan Lai and Lai Jia were confined, the ruins of the Forbidden City, and Jiushan City with morning clouds in the north.
Please don't forget that Izu has played an important role in the history of Japanese shipbuilding since ancient times, precisely because Izu is the hometown of oceans and forests.
