Why do normal people do genetic testing?

Genetic testing is of great significance to two types of people. First, young men and women whose parents have obvious genetic diseases consult before marriage to decide whether they can have children. Second, when cancer patients choose targeted drugs, they need to detect whether the targeted drugs are effectively matched with oncogenes.

General healthy people don't need to do genetic testing. Everyone's genome will have many mutations or defects, many of which are polygenic disease-causing defects. In other words, all kinds of single defects will not cause diseases or just increase the possibility of diseases.

Even if this mutation defect is found out, there is no need to have an ideological burden. If you are worried for a long time that you will get sick, just paying attention to health care like normal people will not do much to prevent diseases, but may cause mental instability and cause various diseases.
