You need to register with the local maritime bureau: two two-inch color photos with a white background, a diagnosis certificate from the county hospital and a copy of your ID card. Then go to the training school designated by the Maritime Safety Administration for one to two months of training, and pass the national unified seafarers' competency certificate examination before obtaining the certificate. Three types of certificates are easier than one or two.
To participate in the training, you must undergo a strict physical examination and submit a health certificate issued by a hospital at or above the county level to the maritime department. After registration, go to the training center to learn relevant laws and regulations, mechanical knowledge and operational skills. Generally, you have to study for 1-3 months and take the unified examination in the whole region. Engaged in passenger transport, but also must go through life-saving, fire fighting and other special training, only to have operational qualifications.
