Who invented the "sugar pill" to solve polio, and the death is not as good as the pregnancy of a star?

This is Gu, one of the famous virologists in China. The polio vaccine he developed and popularized saved thousands of children in Qian Qian, and the motherland will always remember them.

When I was a child, I didn't like injections because I was too afraid of pain. In the impression of the hospital, besides the smell of disinfectant is sharp needles, the only bright color is sweet sugar pills. I always thought that the sugar pill was the comfort given by the doctor's grandfather, and now I know how many people's sweat this sugar pill contains. Sugar pills should be called an improved version of polio vaccine, which was developed and improved by the polio vaccine research team headed by Mr. Gu, so that children can escape the threat of death and disability and grow up healthily.

Polio, what disease is this, most people may be at a loss, but the manifestation of this disease is commonly known as polio, which can make people suddenly realize. In 1950s, polio broke out on a large scale in New China, and the newly established New China simply didn't know how to deal with the disease. At that time, as long as you were infected with this disease, there was no cure. It's up to you. If you live well, you will heal yourself. If your life is not good, you may be disabled or die.

Gu, who has just returned from studying in the former Soviet Union, was once again sent by the Ministry of Health to study the production technology of polio vaccine in the former Soviet Union. At that time, both the United States and the Soviet Union had vaccines, which were safe and expensive in the United States, but could not form prevention; The kind of the former Soviet Union has just been developed, which is cheap, but it can't guarantee safety. Gu weighed the large-scale outbreak of polio in New China and decided to learn from the technology of the former Soviet Union.

In the former Soviet Union, with the help of outstanding people, a batch of vaccine stock solution was obtained, which was like a treasure. Gu and his colleagues soon returned to China and began to study vaccines independently. In 1960s, Gu and his party came to Kunming, Yunnan. It took them nine months to establish the Kunming Institute of Biology from scratch. Later, the vaccine was successfully developed and animal experiments were carried out, but no human experiments have been carried out. Gu actually sent his children to the front line. Fortunately, the trial period passed safely, and China's own vaccine was born.

Since the birth of the vaccine, by the end of the 20th century, the incidence of poliomyelitis in China has decreased by more than 100 times. In the Millennium, the World Health Organization declared that China was a polio-free country. All this is due to Gu and his team. Mr. Gu Lao devoted most of his life to the prevention of polio, the research and development and promotion of vaccines, and saved countless children and families. At the beginning of the year, Mr. Gu was born in Beijing at the age of 92.
