What nutrition education should be given to children?

Nutrition is the material basis for children's healthy growth. Proper dietary nutrition education in small classes plays an important role in cultivating children's good eating habits. For this reason, our garden has conducted a more in-depth study on how to carry out small class diet nutrition education activities. Through investigation and analysis, we find that there are some problems in the practice of dietary nutrition education in small classes. For example, although teachers have realized the importance of dietary nutrition education, their understanding of the educational objectives and contents is somewhat one-sided, and they often only emphasize the cultivation of children's good eating habits, while putting aside the cognitive goals and emotional goals in dietary nutrition education. For another example, teachers often pay attention to the reasonable arrangement of children's dining process, but ignore the hidden influence of the environment on children's dining mood and habits. In addition, most of the existing dietary nutrition education is carried out randomly in daily life, with poor planning and systematicness, few special dietary nutrition education activities and unsatisfactory educational effect. In view of this, we have carried out some practical exploration activities according to the age characteristics of small class children and around some problems that teachers are generally confused about. ● What should be included in the scope of dietary nutrition education? To carry out dietary nutrition education, we must first establish appropriate educational objectives. In practice, we realize that children's eating behavior is not only influenced by family, but also by children's cognition and emotion about food. Especially for children in small classes, their behavior is more easily influenced by environment and emotions, and their love for food will directly affect their eating behavior.
